Welcome to the new website of Lutherans Concerned/San Francisco-Bay Area
Lutherans Concerned is a Christian ministry affirming God's love for people of all sexual orientations and gender identities. In 2002 the Division of Outreach of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) officially recognized our ministry and passed a resolution establishing a formal relationship with Lutherans Concerned.
The San Francisco-Bay Area chapter was formed in 1975, and our newsletter Advent has been published since 1979. On our website you will find a list of area Reconciling in Christ (RIC) congregations that welcome LGBT people.
