Welcome! You are on the home page of the San Francisco Bay Area Chapter of Lutherans Concerned North America. Lutherans Concerned is a Christian ministry affirming God's love for people of all sexual orientations and gender identities. In 2002, the Division of Outreach of Evangelical Lutheran Church in America officially recognized our ministry and passed a resolution establishing a formal relationship with Lutherans Concerned.

The San Francisco Bay Area chapter  was formed in 1975, and our newsletter, ADVENT, has been published since 1979. It is sent to every congregation in the Sierra Pacific Synod to keep sexual minority matters in the minds of clergy. On our website you will find a list of Bay Area Reconciling in Christ (RIC) congregations that welcome people who are gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered, as well as our newsletter and events of interest.
